Black History Month Wisconsin Role Models: 

Black History Movie Night: Are you looking for something fun to do after school with FREE FOOD?!

Join us in the LMC this Wednesday! We are going to watch the very interesting & entertaining movie “Hidden Figures” together! There will be FREE pizza and popcorn!

Book Club: Have you read the book Dear Martin? If you haven’t, it’s not too late to stop in the Library and get a copy for our March 1st meeting. We would love to have you join us during your study hall or during lunch period. Just let us know which hour you will be joining us, so we can plan. We hope to see you there.

Boys Golf: There is an information meeting on Wednesday, February 23 after school in room 145 for all boys interested in playing golf this spring. Please contact Coach Johnson for more information. 

Crochet and Knitting Club: Are you looking for a non electronic way to relax? Do you like to use your hands to create? Join the Crochet and knitting club. Perfect for beginners and advanced students.

Meetings will take place during lunches (4,5,6) in the LMC on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month.

Our introduction and signup will take place on Monday, February 28th. We hope to see you!

Dungeons and Dragons Club: D&D club will meet tomorrow night, February 22 at 3:15 in room 132.

FFA: Hello Preble! Did you know that this week is National FFA Week? Our chapter wanted to celebrate with some activities over the week for the whole school. We wanted to start off by answering YOUR questions about FFA, as it’s not just for farmers anymore. Questions can be submitted through this form: 


Preble FFA Scavenger Hunts

Scavenger Hunt #1: 

Each day there will be pictures of the FFA emblem posted around the school.  If you find it, bring this to room 187 and receive a prize.  


Scavenger Hunt #2:

The first to find this gold FFA medallion will receive a $25 gift card.  Each day in announcements pictures and/or clues will be given.  This is open to any Preble student to locate.

Clue #1: Preble FFA was established in 1957. I can be found inside of the Preble High School building.  

GBU Boys Swim: Mikhail Neverman, Cayden DePas, Nate Gehm, and Kyler Simonet represented Preble at their State swim meet this Saturday. The four got a best time in their 200 Medley Relay, and Mikhail Neverman also had a best time in his 100 Butterfly. All of the guys had great seasons, and if you are interested in swimming on the GBU Boys team next year, email Coach Tom Capelle at [email protected]

Math Team: Attention Math Team Students, our 5th Math Meet is tonight, Monday, Feb. 21st at Preble in Room 237 at 3:30 pm. Email Mr. Schwedrsky if you are unable to attend the meet. Practice problems with answers are posted in our Google Classroom Page. 

Preble Boys Basketball: The Preble Boys Basketball team took on the Pirates from Bayport last Friday night and for the first time in conference history beat them by a final score of 83-80. The Hornets were led by Sam Hummel’s 25 points, Adrian Heinemeyer’s 17 points,Tommy Michaels’ 14 points, and Reese Berg’s 13 points. Austin Renard added 11 points and 15 rebounds. Austin is currently leading the FRCC conference in rebounding!  The team wraps up its season this week with games at Notre Dame on Tuesday night, and at Manitowoc on Thursday night. They begin tournament play on March 4th with a first round game against Milwaukee King! Go Hornets!

SkillsUSA: Congratulations to the 9 students who competed in the Regional Competition at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton this past Friday. They represented Preble well. A big shout out to Lucky Vang who took home Silver in Power Equipment Technology. Great job!  Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, March 1st after school. Please check the Google Classroom page for information on the upcoming State Competition. 

Spring Play: Any students interested in being a crew member for the Spring Play, Romeo and Juliet, we will have an informational meeting on Thursday, February 24th from 3:10-3:30 in 123. At this time, students will be able to sign up for crews. If you can not make it - see Mr. Schuh in123. 

Any students interested in non speaking roles in Romeo and Juliet, please see Mr. Schuh in 123. We have some non speaking ensemble roles still available. A great opportunity with a minimal time investment.  

Yearbook: Seniors: We can still take a photo from you, but we are in the last couple of days when this is possible.Please send any picture to [email protected] Yearbook photo day is Wednesday, March 2. Stay tuned for when your extra-curricular group will have their picture taken on that day.  Do you have any pictures from the extra-curricular activities you have participated in or watched?  Please share them at [email protected].

Yearbook staff: Please help in whatever way you can this week. We have to make lots of progress and have things to do. Come to the computer lab behind the school store any night this week after school.
