It has been a long road to get to this point. Your allies stand next to you, swords and bows and staves in hand as the monster ahead of you unfurls its sickly form.

An insect-like carapice acts as a shell, its bone-white exoskeleton flexes in an alien and unnatural manner, and its claws, like scythes, push the creature to its feet. A long tongue lols out from between knifelike teeth. It is hideous and a shiver of fear runs through your spine.

You hold your weapon tighter, break to the right as one of the claws stabs out in your direction at lightning speed, and know that surviving this encounter is far from guaranteed.
