Today’s Fun Fact:
The moon has moonquakes. Just as earth has earthquakes, the moon has—you guessed it—moonquakes. Less common and less intense than the shakes that happen here, moonquakes are believed by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) scientists to occur due to tidal stresses connected to the distance between the Earth and the moon.

Anime Club:
Anime club will have its first meeting next Tuesday, September 21st at 3:15 in Mr. Hinkel’s room, number 132. After a year away, we will spend Tuesday deciding what we want the anime club to be as it comes back for the 2021 - 2022 school year.


Blood Drive
Would you like to help someone in need? Blood cannot be manufactured. It comes from generous people like you! The Student Council will be hosting their first blood drive on Tuesday, September 28. We only have a limited number of spots, so please sign up as soon as possible! A Google form to sign up will be sent to your school email address sometime today! If you have any questions, send an email to Mrs. Enderby (anenderby@gbaps.org).

City Meet:
Congratulations goes out to the Preble boys and girls cross country teams for their performances last night at the Green Bay City Championship. The boys JV placed second to a strong Notre Dame team led by Connor Shaw 7th, Max Piontek 9th, Killian Arlt 10th, Camian McGregor 11, and Charlie Rozz 14th. The boys varsity team also placed second.  Ehtan Raye was 4th and Garrison Willems was 5th and are recognized as first team all-city.  Peyton Kuehn 10th, Ian Hoppe 11th, and Adam Cotter 15th are recognized as second team all-city.  Great job guys! The JV girls also placed second to Notre Dame led by Hannah Smith 2nd, Annabelle Davis 5th, Lola Dax 9th, Miyah Washington 13th, and Ellie Kothbauer 16th. The varsity girls ended a drought that was over a decade long and walked away with the city championship title.  All eight varsity girls are recognized as “all-city”.  First team all city were Elise Smith, 2nd, Hailey Novitski 3rd, Alli Buraczewski 4th, Gabrielle Haller 7th, and Emma Dornbush 8th.  Second team all city were Ava DeBaker 9th, Abby Peruzzi 13th, and Melana Webber 16th. Great job girls!

Dungeons and Dragons Club:
Want to go on grand adventures with your friends and wield blades and magic against the forces of evil!? Well, check out Dungeons and Dragons club! There is a small change in that we will have our first meeting next Wednesday, September 22nd at 3:15 in room 132 with Mr. Hinkel, NOT next Thursday.No experience with Dungeons and Dragons is necessary, all you need is the willingness to learn and use your imagination. We will be looking for both DMs and players and will set up as many games as possible to accommodate those who are interested.

FCCLA:
FCCLA will be having an informational meeting on Tuesday, September 21st at 3:05 in Room 137. Membership is open to all Preble students. FCCLA stands for Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America and it is a great way to develop your leadership skills. If you are thinking about careers in education, culinary arts and hospitality, fashion/interior design, or just want to increase your leadership skills, come to the meeting and learn more about this group. Nerf Club:
Nerf Club is finally out and ready to go!  But first, what is Nerf Club? Nerf Club is where friends come to have fun and make new friends while being entertained in a Nerf Battle with different compositions. This Club can be joined by anyone. This Club also has some supplies that you need to play with. Like safety glasses, Nerf Darts, and Nerf blasters. If you can bring these items yourself like the Nerf blasters or the safety glass, please do. If not, that’s fine. We will have all the supplies you need to have fun.  There will be inflatable walls for your cover and counters.There are also going to be more events like Capture the Flag, Team Vs Team, Hardpoint, and more. If you are interested, please complete this Google Form. Also, feel free to email Wyatt Rosenau or Mr. Weldzius if you have any questions, and stay tuned for more information. Remember, It's Nerf or Nothing!

Sources of Strength:
Attention 9th and 10th grade students.
Sources of Strength, a mental health and wellness group, is coming to Preble. If you are interested in learning more about how you can get involved please attend an informational meeting at the start of your lunch hour in the LMC today.
