Today’s Fun Fact:
You lose up to 30 percent of your taste buds during flight. This might explain why airplane food gets such a bad reputation. The elevation in an airplane can have a detrimental effect on our ability to taste things. According to a 2010 study conducted by Germany's Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics, the dryness experienced at a high elevation as well as low pressure reduces the sensitivity of a person's taste buds to sweet and salty foods by about 30 percent. Add that dry cabin air affects our ability to smell, and our ability to taste is reduced further.

Blood Drive

The blood drive is this Friday, September 24 (not next Tuesday). If you are interested in signing up, please fill out this
Google form. This has been sent to your email address, but send Mrs. Enderby an email if you did not receive it. Staff are also encouraged to sign up! You MUST BE 16 or OLDER to donate. If you are 16, you must have your parent/guardian sign the parental consent form and you must bring that the day of the blood drive. You can find these forms in the Main Office. Each person to donate will receive a t-shirt, Green Bay Packers fidget spinner, and a free haircut through Sports Clips. Just remember blood cannot be manufactured and is in high demand, so be a generous person by giving back to your community! The day of the blood drive, you will need a picture ID with your birth date (drivers license/state ID) and the signed parental consent form (if 16 years old).
