ACT Preparatory Session
Juniors, as shared the week of Thanksgiving you will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, February 27th.  This test is a large determining factor for which colleges will accept you.  To better prepare you for the ACT, Preble High School is having a series of ACT Preparatory sessions.  The first session is Saturday, December 2nd from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm in the library.  Please check your email for information to sign up.  We hope to see you on Saturday.


Boys Basketball Tickets
The Preble boys basketball program travels to Milwaukee North this Friday, December 1st.  Preble will pre-sell tickets before and after school on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  On Friday, Preble will only sell tickets before school.  Tickets can be purchased in the main office.  The Milwaukee Public Schools do not sell tickets at the door.  All tickets must be purchased in advance.


Dance Team Annual Showcase
Preble’s dance team will be having their annual showcase this Thursday, November 30th in the large gym starting at 6:30 pm.  The girls will show their three competition routines, solos and duets. Friends, family and Preble staff are encouraged to attend to cheer the girls on and send them off to their first competition this weekend. Attendees are encouraged to bring a canned food item to donate to a local shelter. 


Family Night
All American Indian-First Nations families from the Green Bay school district are invited to “Family Night” this evening at Franklin Middle School from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.  We will have a lacrosse demonstration and other culturally relevant activities!  This event is sponsored by the Title VI Indian Education program.


Forensics
Are you interested in building your college resume as you polish your speaking skills? The Forensics Team might be for you! We will have an introductory meeting for the new season on Thursday, November 30th at 3:00 pm. This will be a half hour meeting where we will introduce the new coaches, preview the upcoming season, and preview upcoming categories. If you cannot make this meeting, or if you have any questions please see
Mr. Schuh or Ms. Nellis. 


Intramural Basketball  
The Intramural basketball schedule is set, so check with your captains for dates and times of your games.  The schedule is also posted on the school website.  It is very important to turn in your paperwork to the main office as soon as possible so everyone is ready to play on Monday, December 4th.  Thanks to all that have signed up – we have 19 teams and 164 participants for this year’s league.


KPOP
Tonight’s KPOP meeting is being rescheduled for tomorrow, November 29th at 3:00 pm in Room 125. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Schuh.


Language Arts Academic Team 
What is the name of the novel that is set in Germany during World War II and is narrated by Death, who tells the story of Liesel Meminger and Max, the Jewish man her family hides and tries to save?  If you guessed The Book Thief, you’re right!  If you enjoy trivia questions like this, the Language Arts Academic Team is for you!  We will be meeting on  Wednesday, November 29th at 3:05 pm in Room133 to start reviewing trivia and discussing the novel titles.  See Mrs. Guerndt in Room 133 if you can’t make the meeting.  


MAC Scholars & College Bound
MAC Scholars and College Bound will meet tomorrow after school in Room 107.  Please come by for fun and information on college and careers!  


Silent Auction
Looking for that special gift for the holidays? How about a palm tree stepping stone? Stop by the Art rooms and check out all the one-of-a-kind artwork on display. Place your bid in the binder in Art Room 183. This Friday after school, the highest bid takes the artwork home. 


Student Council
Student Council members, this is a reminder there will be a meeting tomorrow morning at 7:00 am in Room 256. You all are expected to attend, as we will be discussing the upcoming blood drive. Email Mrs. Enderby with any questions.


Teens For Change
Teens for Change will be having a bake sale fundraiser this Tuesday, Wednesday , and Thursday.  Don’t miss out during all lunch hours.
