ACT Word of the Day
COERCE - Verb (koh-urs) - to force someone by threatening

ACT Preparatory Session
Juniors, you will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, February 27th.  This test is a large determining factor for which colleges will accept you.  To better prepare you for the ACT, Preble High School is having a series of ACT Preparatory sessions.  The next session is Saturday, February 3rd from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm in the library.  Please check your email for information to sign up.  We hope to see you on Saturday.

Blood Drive
Students, did you know that blood cannot be manufactured? It has to come from generous donors like you. Please sign up for the upcoming blood drive, next Tuesday, February 6th. You may sign up in the main office or with a Student Council member. You will receive a Culver’s coupon for a free pint of ice cream. Remember to bring a photo ID on the day of the blood drive and if you are 16, to have a parent consent form signed. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Enderby.

Creative Writers Group
Creative Writers Group meets today, at 3:00 pm in Room 130 (we meet every Tuesday). Enjoy sharing your work and collaborating with like-minded creative writers! If there are any questions, see Ms. Wilson in Room 130.

MAC Scholars & College Bound
MAC Scholars and College Bound meet tomorrow after school in Room 107.  Please come by for fun and information on college and careers!

Political Awareness Club 
Do you love to talk about politics? Well, you are in luck! The Political Awareness Club will be having its first meeting of the year today from 3:15 to 3:45 pm in Room 206. All political views are welcome. If you have any questions, talk to or e-mail Mrs. Wanta. 

There will be a mandatory girls soccer meeting today immediately after school in Room 264 for all girls that played soccer on JV or Varsity last year.

Spring Play
Auditions for the Spring Play, She Kills Monsters, will be held on Monday, February 5th from 3:10-5:30 pm in the auditorium. Students will have to prepare a one minute monologue and conduct cold readings from the script. Perusal scripts are available in the LMC for a 24 hour check out. Student Council
Student Council members, there is a meeting tomorrow morning at 7:00 am in Room 256.  We will be discussing next week's blood drive. 

Yo Yo Club
There will be a Yo Yo Club meeting on Thursday,  February 1st after school in Room 205.  Also, listen for further announcements about attending a curricular code meeting soon.
