Boys Basketball
Anyone interested in trying out for boys basketball, there will be an important  informational meeting right after school this Thursday, September 13th in the fieldhouse.  There will also be open gym until 5 PM following the meeting.  If you can not attend the meeting, please seeCoach Bobholz in the PE area for information.  

Attention all students, are you interested in a challenging club?  Do you want to find out how to dominate your future and carve out a successful life?  If so, maybe DECA is for you.  Please sign up in the school store if you are interested in joining DECA this year.

Door Decorating
Teachers and students, homecoming is just around the corner and we are doing the door decorating contest again this year! The top three classrooms will win a treat. Teachers, the door judging form has been sent to your email. If you have any questions, please email  Mrs. Enderby.

Girls Tennis
Calling all freshmen!  The girls tennis team is looking to add a few dedicated young ladies to this year’s tennis team.  Even if you are a beginner, we would love the chance to teach you the basics. See Mrs. Weuve in Room 245 (across from math lab) for more information. 
The varsity tennis team lost to a tough Pulaski team yesterday, 6-1.  Earning the lone win for the Lady Hornets was the #1 doubles team of Mai Vang and Mai Nou Vang who fought back after losing the first set.  The girls tennis team returns to action on our home courts today against Ashwaubenon.  Varsity matches begin at 4:00 pm followed by JV matches at 5:00 pm.  Come out and support your Lady Hornets tennis team.

Homecoming Court
The nomination ballots for homecoming court are being tallied at the moment. Then there will be another nomination ballot sent to your email. Please be sure to fill it out as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Enderby.

Homecoming Parade
Would you like to earn some money for your club or sports team?  If so, get together with your friends and build a float for the homecoming parade. If you belong to a club, a sports team, or would like to build a class float, please stop by the main office to get an application. The parade float applications are due this Friday morning at 7:30 am. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Enderby.

Math Team
Math students, did you know that half of 18 is 10?  Or, that you can take 1 from 29 and have 30 left?  Then Math Team is for you!  There will be an informational meeting today after school in Room 237 at 3:10 pm.  If you are unable to attend, stop by sometime this week and see Mr. Schwedrsky in Room 237

Juniors, are you looking for a way to practice for the ACT or SAT test?  Would you like more feedback on your academic strengths and weaknesses prior to taking your college admission exam?

If so, the PSAT test is for you! It is being offered here at Preble  in the small gym on Wednesday, October 10th beginning at 7:30 a.m. For juniors, this test is also the qualifier for the National Merit Scholarship competition, as well as other scholarships. Students can register through Preble’s website by clicking on Students and Parents, Student Services, and then PSAT Online Registration. Registration is open now and spots are limited. The cost of the test is $20.00. Please see Ms. Lor or Mrs. Davis in Student Services for more information.

Public Safety Presentation
Attention female sophomore students, you are invited to a presentation with guest speakers from the Green Bay Police Department and the Green Bay Fire Department to speak about why they chose this path, how they overcame obstacles, explorer programs, schooling and much more.  Monday, September 17th, at 1:15pm during the first 30 minutes of the 7th hour in the auditorium.  

You need to sign up via the email that was sent to you last Friday or see your school counselor.  You must sign up for this if you wish to attend.  

This is a great opportunity for you if you are interested in this, as a career to speak to women in the field.  

Student Council Meeting
Student Council members, there will be a meeting tomorrow morning at 6:45 am in Room 256. Please check your email for the meeting agenda.

Teens For Change & Asian Club
There will be a short important meeting after school in Room 127 of Asian Club AND Teens for Change. We will be discussing meeting times and leadership 

Window Decorating
Students, we will be decorating the windows in the main entrance, library, and office for Homecoming week. If you are interested in decorating the windows, please meet down by the Main Office after school this Friday. We need students from each grade level to participate, so grab your friends to join! Email Mrs. Enderby if you have any questions.

Are you interested in being part of yearbook?  We need photographers, writers, people interested in graphic and online design, and anyone interested in marketing and sales.

Yo Yo Club
If you haven't had the chance to pick up a yo-yo in a while, or if you've never had the chance to play with one, never fear, because we have a yo yo club at Preble! Our first meeting is this Thursday, Sept 13th after school in Room 205.  Come and find out more about this popular toy that's been around since Ancient Greece and enjoy some snacks too!
