ACT Preparatory Session

Juniors, you will be taking the ACT on Wednesday, February 20th.  This test is a large determining factor for which colleges will accept you.  To better prepare you for the ACT, Preble High School is having a series of ACT Preparatory sessions.  The first session is Saturday, December 1st from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm in the library. Please check your email for information to sign up.  We hope to see you on Saturday.

Language Arts Academic Team

In what epic poem does the central character descend into the underworld to get advice from Tiresias before returning to his ongoing struggle to get back to his home on the island of Ithaca?  If you guessed The Odyssey, you’re right! If you enjoy trivia questions like this than the Language Arts Academic Team is for you!  We will be meeting tomorrow at 3:10 pm in Room 133 to start reviewing trivia and discussing the novel titles.  All are welcome to join! Please see Mrs. Guerndt in Room 133 if you can’t make the meeting.

Chess Club

Chess Club will meet tomorrow from 3:05 to 4:00 pm in Room B116.

Chess Tournament

Chess players, there will be a Wisconsin Scholastic Chess Tournament at Lombardi Middle School on Saturday, December 1st.   This tournament is open to high school students.  Check in will be from 8:00-8:40 am with round 1 beginning around 9:00 a.m.  Trophies will be awarded to the top team and top three individuals. To register go to or contact Mr. Siegworth at Lombardi.  Join us for a fun and competitive day of chess!

MAC Scholars & College Bound

MAC Scholars and College Bound meet tomorrow after school in Room 107.  Please come by for fun and information on college and careers!

Preble Dance Team

The Preble dance team will be competing at Ashwaubenon High School this Saturday,  December 1st. We invite anyone to come watch and cheer the girls on!

Preble Pals

Preble Pals will be having our November Event tomorrow, Wednesday the 28th, at 3:00 pm in Room 163. Please see Mrs. VanderHeyden with questions.  

Winter Track Conditioning

All track & field and cross country runners!  Winter conditioning is here! Middle and long distance runners can participate in winter running club which is already under way after school every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Starting next week Tuesday, all sprinters, jumpers, vaulters, and throwers can come out on Tuesdays and Fridays to “open track.” Both groups of athletes can meet by the locker rooms after school and keep an eye out for Coach McMahon for distance runners and Coaches Marcelle and Kline for the jumping, sprinting, and lifting groups.
