Class Ring Day

Attention all classes, on Tuesday, October 8th is class ring shopping day.  Brickhouse School Services will be here during the lunch hours in the cafeteria.  There will be ring samples and order information packets available to anyone interested in ordering a Preble class ring.  Stop by and check it out.


Door Judging Results

The results of the door decorating contest are in! However, before we announce them, we would like to thank everyone that participated. The doors looked fabulous! We had a total of 26 doors, which is the most we have had in the past 6 years, so kudos to those of you that participated. That’s some true school spirit!!  Now for the results, in third place Mrs. Blaney’s Careers in Education class, in second place Mrs. Vanderheyden’s Life Skills class, and in first place 

Ms. Sylvester’s AVID class! Congratulations to our winners! Treats will be distributed on Tuesday and thank you again to those that participated!



Homecoming Week

Welcome to the best day yet! There is a lot of fun things planned for today! During your lunch, stop by the courtyard on Danz Avenue for some food, bounce houses, face painting, and music! At 2:00 pm is the PEP assembly, which will be held in the field house. There are activities and a dance routine you won’t want to miss! Following the assembly is the Homecoming parade, yes, with candy, which takes place on Newberry Avenue.  Join us at the football game tonight against Notre Dame. Kick-off is at 7:00 pm including a halftime show from the Preble dance team and band! Lastly, the big dance is tomorrow night starting at 7:30 pm and the doors close at 9:00 pm. If you haven’t purchased your ticket yet, you must do so by 3:15 pm today. If you have any questions, please send Mrs. Enderby an email.


Girls Volleyball

Preble defeated Notre Dame last night 25-18, 25-20, 26-24.

 

Grace Perret led the way with 10 kills and 10 digs, Taylor Raduenz had 6 kills and 2 aces, 

Maddie Neumann chipped in 24 assists and 3 aces, Ella Bialkowski had 12 digs.

 

The volleyball team did their part in defeating Notre Dame , now they challenge

the football team to do the same.

 

Philosophy Club

Philosophy Club will meet on Monday, October 7th.  Philosopher of the week 

Frederick Nietzsche.  Bring your own Big Question -- and Nietzsche will answer it...or not.

 

Preble Pride Tail-Gating Etiquette

This is a friendly reminder, that when it comes to tailgating for tonight’s football game, please do the following:

  • No charcoal grills allowed,

  • Clean up and place debris in garbage cans.

  • Tailgating may start after the parade.

  • Show Preble Pride towards our neighbors and community


Student Panel

October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness month.  Please join the Preble Peer Leaders, in our annual student panel on Wednesday, October 9th after school in the LMC.  Come hear stories from students who have experienced and overcome incidences of bullying, as well as stories from students who have struggled with their mental health. There will be free pizza for all who attend!! Come join us remove the stigma and break the silence.

Student Services

All seniors, on Monday, October 14th, Preble will be hosting College Goal Wisconsin, a free event for families to get help completing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. This is the application that makes you eligible for money to help pay for college via loans and grants. All student attendees will be entered in a drawing to win a $1,000 college scholarship. See your counselor for more information.


Also, a reminder that our second Get It Done day will take place next week Tuesday, October 8th. The Preble LMC will have college and Preble staff to help seniors complete college applications, FAFSA (financial aid application), review upcoming scholarship opportunities and answer any college admissions questions you might have.  We will take care of attendance at the event. Please plan to stop down during your study hall, lunch or from class with your teacher's permission. You are welcome to attend multiple periods and days. Please bring your device, and students working on FAFSA will need a personal email and their social security numbers. You will also have a chance to score prizes from the school store.
