Girls Volleyball

The Preble varsity volleyball team went 3-0 at the Shawano Quad defeating Pacelli Catholic 25-17, 25-21, Shawano 25-11, 25-19, and Amherst 25-17, 25-19.

 

Leading the Hornets was Grace Perret with 20 kills and 17 digs. Amber Van De Hei chipped in 17 kills and 11 blocks.

 

Maddy Neumann had 53 assists and 13 digs.

 

Ella Bialkowski had 31 digs.

 

The freshman volleyball team held their annual freshman tournament on Saturday.  The team finished in 6th place out of ten teams.


GSA

Gay Straight Alliance- GSA will be having a meeting today after school in the LMC. Everyone is welcome to attend. 


MAC Scholars

MAC Scholars will meet after school tomorrow in the LMC for the co-curricular code meeting.



PFL Test-Out

The Personal Financial Literacy Test-Out is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12th and Thursday, November 14th after school.  To sign up for the test, please see Ms. Marsh in the main office. You will need to bring your student ID and $5.00 for the examination fee when you sign up. Sign up during lunch hours and after school until 3:15 pm.  Deadline to sign-up is Friday, November 1st.


Philosophy Club

Come to Philosophy Club tonight in Room 118.  The Philosopher of the Week is Immanuel Kant, bring a big idea, a snack, or just show up.


PSAT

This is a reminder the PSAT test is on Wednesday, October 16th. Students will report directly to the small gym so testing may begin at 7:30 a.m. If you have not completed a pre-administration session, you must attend one of the three sessions being held today during periods 4, 5 or 6 in the LMC. Please report to the LMC during any of these class periods today to get this information completed.


Preble Pals

Preble Pals will be having a planning meeting on Wednesday, October 16th at 3:05 pm in Room 163. 


Stingcancer A reminder to everyone who wants to become a member of Stingcancer, there is a code of conduct meeting on Tuesday, October 15th. If you have not attended a code of conduct for this school year, you must attend to be considered a member. We will be taking attendance and it will count toward a meeting.  There will be information and sign up for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Event on Saturday, October 19th.

Stock the Box Staff and students, it’s time to help us Stock the Box!  The Preble Band is in friendly competition with East, West and Southwest to see who can collect the most non perishable foods!  Bring your cans or boxes of food to the LMC by Thursday morning - and you will have a chance to win an autographed Jordy Nelson jersey or an autographed Donald Driver football. Canned items can also be brought to the Varsity Soccer game Tuesday night - the Preble Drumline will be there to entertain the crowd for senior night!

Student Services Seniors, tonight at 5:00 pm, Preble will be hosting College Goal Wisconsin, a free event for families to get help completing their free application for federal student aid, or FAFSA. There will be a presentation at 6:00 pm.  This is the application that makes you eligible for money to help pay for college via loans and grants. All student attendees will be entered in a drawing to win a $1,000 college scholarship. You and your parent or guardian will need your social security number and 2018 federal tax return in order to complete the FAFSA. See your counselor for more information.
