Veteran’s Day

With bravery and strength, they serve,

With dignity and pride they stand,

With courage and hope they fight.

The life they live is dangerous, treacherous, rough, and hard going,

But when the fog clears,

They are the ones who still stand.

Throughout this nation’s history, America’s soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, and coast guardsmen have bravely answered the call to defend our freedom, to aid our friends and allies, and to turn back aggressors.

We can never fully repay our debt of gratitude to the more than 1.3 million American service members who died in battle or the 1.5 million who were wounded. We can, however, recognize and thank the 20 million veterans still living today.

Today is a day to honor all veterans.

Preble High School would also like to honor our own veterans:

  • Mr. Matt Fellinger

  • Mr. Al Pannier

  • Mr. Andy Paplham
  • Mr. Jason Shelly

At this time, if you are willing and able - we ask you to please rise, place your right hand over your heart, and join together in reciting the United States Pledge of Allegiance slowly, and with reverence:

I pledge allegiance

To the flag

Of the United States of America

And to the republic

For which it stands

One nation

Under God

Indivisible

With liberty, and justice, for all
