ACT Word of the Day

Trial (trahy-uhl) noun - a specific experiment or set of experiments within a larger context

ACT

Juniors, you will be taking the ACT Tuesday, March 3rd.  You will be given a “Golden Ticket” for participating in the test. “Golden Tickets” can be used to enter drawings for a chance to win prizes ranging from gas cards to an Apple Watch.  Be sure to drop off your “Golden Tickets” in the main office by the end of the day Tuesday, March 3rd for your chance to win.

The rooms that you are assigned to take the ACT on March 3rd are posted in the main entrance and in the cafeteria.  Please look to see what room you will be testing in and plan to arrive to your room by 7:45 am with a collection of #2 pencils and a calculator.

The ACT does not allow examinees to bring a cell phone or smartwatch into a testing room.  We strongly encourage students to leave their cell phones at home or in their car on March 3rd.  If you feel the need to bring your cell phone or Smartwatch to school on the ACT testing day, you will be required to power it down and turn it over to the staff member administering the ACT in your testing room for the duration of the test.

Please note:  Only juniors are to report on Tuesday, March 3rd.  All other students do not need to report on this day.  Good Luck on the test!

Softball Players

There is a player and parent meeting Monday evening at 6:00 pm in the auditorium for all softball players.  All players and a parent or guardian must attend. After the meeting, there is an optional open gym session for those players interested in getting ready for the season that starts in two weeks.

Student Services

Wednesday, March 4 is our next Scholarship Workshop Day in the LMC.  Whether you are following up from the last meeting or starting from scratch, please plan to join us. Local Scholarship Foundations provide a combined $100,000+ a year to Preble students, and we don’t want you to miss out.

Scholarships, Inc., Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, NWTC Foundations, and UWGB Phuture Phoenix will join us at Preble to help seniors apply for their scholarships. Please bring your laptop. Join us during your study hall, lunch or with your teacher’s permission. Ms. Tice from Scholarships, Inc. will be with us in the morning and Ms. Bethke from GGBCF plans to be at Preble until 1:00 PM. At the start of hours 2, 3, 4 & 5 NWTC Foundations Scholarships reps will help seniors log in to their scholarship application and apply step-by-step.
