Today’s Fun Fact: Cotton candy was invented by a dentist.

It is not known whether William Morrison had an ulterior motive for inventing the soft confection, but the dentist no doubt helped ensure others in his profession continued drawing in plenty of customers. In 1897, he partnered with candy-maker John C. Wharton to develop the cotton candy machine (which at the time was known as "Fairy Floss"), and it's been bringing kids cavities ever since.

Anime Club:  Anime club will have its next meeting tomorrow, November 2nd, at 3:15 in room 123. Be sure to bring your Halloween themed artwork to show off and be ready to challenge other club members in anime-themed Kahoots.

Culinary: A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who purchased Chicken Booyah last Wednesday! Culinary students made over 25 gallons of Chicken Booyah and we sold it all!   With your help, we were able to raise $800 to purchase winter clothing for the Afghani refugees at Fort McCoy. 

Girls Swim: The girls swim team had an amazing conference meet over the weekend.  Congratulations to Ella Sieber, Claire Sieber, Ivana Neverman and Brigitta Neverman for breaking a pool and conference record.  Brigitta also broke another pool and conference record in the 100 Fly. Ella Sieber won the 100 back. Congratulations to all the girls that participated at Conference.

Math Students: Starting Monday, November 1st, Math Lab will be open every day, except periods 3 and 6. Periods 3 and 6, Math Lab will continue to be open only Monday, Wednesday, and every other Friday.

Preble GSA: The Gender and Sexuality Alliance (LGBTQIA+ & Allies) will meet this week on Wednesday, November 3rd at 3:05 in room 185.  Everyone is welcome.
