Whether you’re planning on college, a technical school, or you’re not sure yet, the ASVAB Career Exploration Program can provide you with important information about your skills, abilities, and interests--and help put you on the right course for a satisfying career.  

Sign up today in the Career Center.  The ASVAB is scheduled for Thursday, October 20th. 

Boys Cross Country
For the 5th week in a row, the boys varsity cross country team has won their meet including this past Saturday at Kimberly, who are the defending state champions.  Again for this week, medalists and scorers for varsity were Nick Petersen, Dawson Borley, Nick Verheyden, Tanner Conard, and Salvador Sierra all placing in top 15.  The Boys JV team won the meet as well which included a personal best time by Diego Moreno and great medal winning races by Parker Scheld, Chandler Vincent, Josh Nicklaus, Alick Corbley, and Camden Wall.  Congratulations Boys cross country teams!

Boys Swimming Parent/Athlete Meeting 
The boys swimming parent/athlete meeting will be on Tuesday, October 18th at 6:30 PM.  The meeting will take place at Southwest High School in the Auditorium.

Brickhouse Services
Any students interested in purchasing a class ring, Brickhouse Services will be in the commons during the lunch hours holding a class ring order day tomorrow, Tuesday, October 4th.  Please stop by to order your ring.

Bullying Awareness Month
October is bullying awareness month.  Did you know that students EACH day choose to miss school in an effort to not be bullied?  This is not acceptable.  The choice is ours.  The time is now.  Please stand up to bullying by signing your name on the unity chain link that will hang on display in the main entrance hallway.  TOGETHER, we, as school community, will join to be upstanders and put an end to bullying!

Please distribute the electric blue link to each student and collect all links after completion.  Please leave the links outside your doorway.  A monitor will come to pick them up beginning at 9:35 AM.

The Preble FFA Officers want any interested FFA member to know what Career Development Events are in the FFA.  This Tuesday, October 4th they are hosting an FFA meeting and pizza party to share many of the great Career Development Events FFA members can get involved in.  Please stop by Room 187 from 3:10 until 4:15 to meet new people and hear more about Preble FFA C.D.E.’s.

Fox Communities In-School Credit Union
Preble Fox Communities In-school credit union will be closed Wednesday, October 5th due to the installation of new flooring.  We will re-open on Friday, October 7th.  Please visit our 1820 Main St. location for all your financial needs.

Language Arts Academic Team
Do you like reading classic literature?  Do you enjoy learning trivia about a variety of famous authors and their works?  Are you willing to read, discuss, and analyze literature from various authors?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, than the language arts academic team is for you! Come to the first informational meeting tomorrow morning at 7:10 am in Room 133.  See Mrs. Guerndt if you cannot make the informational meeting. Hope to see you there!

Door Decorating Results
The door decorating results are in: in third place we have Mr. Cash's 4th hour class, in second place we have Ms. Sylvester's 4th hour class and this year's winner for the door decorating is Mr. Wiskerchen's 4th hour class! Congratulations to the place winners. Teachers you can pick up your prize in the Main Office!

We also have the float results in from the homecoming parade.  The floats were judged on the homecoming themes. We saw many creative and wonderfully decorated floats, so we just wanted to clarify that they were judged on the homecoming themes. Here are the results: receiving honorable mention was Preble Pals, in third place was the Green Bay United Swim team, in second place was the senior float and in first place was the freshman float. Thank you to all the participants and congratulations to the place winners!
