El Dia de la Raza

Today is October 12, El Dia de la Raza, which celebrates the influences of the people who came after Christopher Columbus and the multicultural, multiethnic society that evolved as a result.

GBU Boys Swimming

Are you interested in joining the GBU boys swim team?  If so, there will be a parent/athlete meeting at Southwest High School on Tuesday, October 18th at 6:30 PM.  Hope to see you there!

GBU Girls Swimming

GBU Girls Swimming lost to De Pere last night. For JV, Emma Nowak took 2nd in 200 Free.  Hope Karnopp took 1st in 200 IM and 500 Free.  Great swims, ladies!  Go GBU!

Girls Golf

Congratulations to Katie Warpinski for competing in the WIAA State Golf Meet in Madison.  Katie shot 82-77 and finished in a tie for 14th.  Her final round 77 was the 5th best round of the day.  Congrats on a great season and great high school career. 


MAC Scholars & College Bound

MAC Scholars & College Bound will meet TODAY after school from 3:00 to 3:30 pm in Room 107.

Political Awareness Club

Political Awareness Club will be meeting today in Room 114 from 3:15 to 3:45. Topic for discussion is the United Nations proposing reparations for slavery. See you there!

School Song

Any students interested in singing the school song on Fridays as part of our weekly tradition is asked to stop by the main office, fill out a slip and submit it to be chosen as the next “Preble School Song Singers”.  Don’t be shy, get some friends together and be part of this cool tradition.  All you have to do is stop by the main office and submit your names.

10:23 - U.S. Air Force will be in the commons
11:15 - 1:05  Milwaukee School of Engineer will be in the commons
1:11 - Lawrence University will be in the Career Center.

2017 Herb Kohl Excellence Scholarship, Horatio Alger Association Scholarship, and the Rover College Scholarship. 

Yearbook

Yearbook staff and those interested in being in yearbook should come to Computer Lab 158 tomorrow, (Thursday, October 13th) right after school.  We will be assigning pages, signing up to take pictures of school events, and giving an overview of how things work.
