ACT Practice Test
On Saturday, January 28th, Preble will be offering a free ACT Practice Test. The practice test will begin at 8:30 AM. If you are member of the Junior class, and you are interested in signing up, please check your email for a link from the Student Services Department. If you are unable to find the link, please speak with your School Counselor or Administrator, and they can help you get registered for Saturday, January 28th.

Bowling

Senior, Emma Nowak and freshman, Madison Adams qualified for the state high school bowling tournament Monday at sectionals. State is held in Wauwatosa from March 2-4. 
The girl’s team will be trying to qualify for state today as they go into sectionals as the #1 seed. 

Forensics Try-Outs
Students interested in being on the 2017 forensics team must sign up to do an informal reading THIS WEEK.  The calendar is outside Ms. Suda’s room--which is room 119--so please stop by and select a time slot.  If you have questions about forensics, see Mr. Henry or Ms. Suda.

Language Arts Academic Team Meeting
The language arts academic team will be meeting Thursday in Room 133 during 5th hour.  Grab your lunch and be in the room by 11:30.  We will be practicing trivia for our upcoming competition.  It’s not too late to join! 


MAC Scholars & College Bound 
MAC Scholars & College Bound will meet TODAY after school from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the Auditorium for Talent Show Try-outs. 

Political Awareness Club
Political Awareness Club will be meeting today in Room 114 from 3:15 to 3:45. Get excited to discuss politics in the history and present day state of Israel.

Preble Mid Distance and Distance Runners 

There will be informational meetings for all boys and girls who are interested in running the mid distance and distance events ONLY (400 meters and up) for the upcoming track and field season.  For the boys, the meeting will be TODAY at 3:15 in Room 264 and for the girls TOMORROW at the same place and time.  All of the information provided will be important in order to help each individual plan and prepare for the 2017 track and field season.  If you have any questions, please see Coach Loritz or Coach McMahon around the PE area.

Softball

Softball players, there is an open gym session scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday at 7:30 PM.  Please meet in the auxiliary gym.  Open gym sessions are not practices, they are a chance to get ready for the season that starts in March.  Also, tomorrow the after school speed, strength and agility training sessions will continue from 3:30 - 5:00 PM.  Meet in the weight room.

Spring Play
Auditions for the Preble Players production of The Crucible will be next Monday, January 30th and next Wednesday, February 1st from 3:15-5:00. Audition materials are in the LMC including monologue selections for the audition. Please review these worksheets as well as read the perusal script. Any questions, please see Mr. Schuh in Room159.

StingCancer
There will be a StingCancer meeting Thursday at 3:10 in the LMC.  We will be making tie blankets and talking about our “Shooting Hoops for Cancer” event in February.  Hope everyone can come and join us in the fight to sting cancer!

Wisconsin Army National Guard
Attention all college bound juniors and seniors, a representative from the National Guard will be available in the Student Services office tomorrow during all lunch hours.  Anyone who is interested in finding out information about 100% college tuition reimbursement by serving two days per month can sign up in the Student Services office today.
