ACT Plus Writing Test
If you are a Junior, did not take the ACT Plus Writing Test on Tuesday, February 28th, or the ACT WorkKeys Test on Wednesday, March 1st, please remember that the makeup test dates will be Wednesday, April 19th and Thursday, April 20th respectively.  Please be in the LMC by 8 AM each of those day, in order to complete your tests. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Meinel.

Boys Track
Congratulations to the boys varsity track team in its win in the Green Bay city meet this past Thursday.

Gavin Buergi led the way with wins in the 100, 200, and the 4x100m relay.  

Double event winners included Tanner Duffney, Dawson Borley, Nick Hummel, Ben Peper and Max Starks.  

Other event winners include Reggie PArham, Ryan Buss, Jake Lemens, Ethan Vandenplas, Jordan Nass, Branden Endlich and Almoni Chambers

The JV team also won the JV City meet by over 300 points!  The JV boys won all 18 events and took second in all but two individual events.

Day of Silence
Day of Silence week is here! Day of Silence is a student-led national event that brings attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. Students from middle school to college take a vow of silence in an effort to encourage schools and classmates to address the problem of anti-LGBT behavior by illustrating the silencing effect of bullying and harassment on LGBT students and those perceived to be LGBT. For all Preble students who would like to participate in the Day of Silence on Friday, April 21st, must sign up in Student Services by Thursday, April 20th. GSA will be meeting today after school in the LMC to discuss Day of Silence. 

Attention all Forensics members attending state this Friday, please meet in Room 119 for a short, mandatory meeting this Wednesday, April 19th after school to talk about your field trip permission slips and chocolate sales. Permission slips must be turned back in before getting on the bus to Madison. Please contact Mr. Henry or Ms. Suda if you cannot attend.

Fox Communities In-School Credit Union
Preble High’s Fox Communities In-School credit union is now hiring In-School Tellers for the 2017-2018 school year.  Stop by your in-school credit union to pick up an application.

Girls Track
The Preble girls track and field teams, both varsity and JV, won the city track meet last Thursday.  The team took home several first places finishes on route to their victories.  Congratulations girls.

Graduation Speaker Auditions
Seniors, today is the last day to sign up for graduation speaker auditions.  See                      Mrs. Kreuser in Room 131 by the end of the day if you are interested in being a speaker at this year’s graduation ceremony.

National Credit Union Youth Month
April is National Credit Union Youth month.  Stop by your Fox Communities In-School Credit Union Monday, April 17th through Friday, April 28th for your chance to win a Fitbit Alta prize package.  Everyone can enter.  Pump up your savings with a deposit and earn an extra chance to win.

Preble HOSA
Congratulations to the following Preble HOSA members who advanced to Nationals June 21st -24th. In Orlando Florida:  Nick Lawler, Wesley Fermanich, John Grossardt and           Jacob Marchi advance to Nationals in Biomedical Debate taking first place

Madelyn Claflin, Alexandria Mader, Chamonix Michaud, and Chole Vanden Houten advanced to Nationals in Community Awareness taking second place

Lizet Moreno taking  5th. Place in Sports Medicine. 

We had a total of  23 Preble HOSA members competing in different HOSA events.

Spring Play
Reminder to all cast and crew to get T shirt money and forms to Mr. Schuh by the end of school today. If you want to order a shirt, but need more time, please see Mr. Schuh. Reminder to all Act One and Two actors that we will be having our line read tonight in Room 123. 

Student Council
Student Council members, there will be a meeting this Wednesday morning at 6:45. If you are running for Intra-City Student Council next year, please remember to bring your intent to run form to the meeting. Check your email for more details about the meeting.

UWGB Science Majors Open
Preble Sophomores and Juniors, UW-Green Bay is hosting an open house for students interested in science this Friday, April 21st. Participants will learn about post-secondary options in a wide variety of science majors and take a tour of their labs. The open house is a full day event and lunch will be provided free of charge. The bus will pick us up at Preble at 8:20am and return at 3:15pm. For more information and to sign up, please check your student e-mail or stop by Student Services.
