ABSS
In honor of National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, Preble has historically hosted several events to show our support and stand up against bullying. On Wednesday,  October 11th after school in the LMC ABSS will be hosting our annual student panel. We will have free pizza for all in attendance. Come hear the stories of those who have been impacted by bullying and be a part of the change. Again, FREE pizza for all who attend!

Anime
Hey students!  If you need something to keep you busy tomorrow before getting ready for the Homecoming dance, how about checking out the Comic-Con at the Brown County Library Downtown?  The Comic-Con runs from 10 until 4 and promises to offer all kinds of displays and merchandise for everyone.

Boys Cross Country
While resting 6 runners last night,  the boys cross country team took 3rd place in JV and varsity out of 24 teams. The varsity team was lead by Tanner Conard, Diego Moreno, and Joe Engler.  The JV team had a great performance by Aaron Minino and also included 15 other season best performances.  The conference meet is next Thursday, October 12th at Meadowbrook Park in Howard.  We strongly encourage everyone to come cheer on your cross country teams.

FFA Cookout
The Preble FFA is inviting everyone to the annual Homecoming Cookout today during the lunch hours.  This is a great opportunity to show school spirit with your friends.  This year the Preble FFA will be making a donation from the cookout  to the Bay Area Humane Society for all the great work they do in our community.   Tasty Hamburgers and Brats will be sold during all 3 lunch hours right outside the commons.   Hamburgers and brats will be sold for $3.  Plate lunches which also include chips and a beverage will be $4.

Choir Students
Choir students who are signed up to sing the National Anthem tonight at the football game should report to the choir room now for a combined rehearsal.

Spirit Week
It’s great to see the staff and students dressed up! Today’s hall hunt is the Preble P, so if you find a picture in the hallway, take it to the main office to redeem your prize. Today is the last day to purchase your homecoming ticket, during the lunch hours and after school, for just $10. The homecoming dance is tomorrow night from 7:30-10:30 and the doors close at 9:00.

We have a lot of festivities going on today. During the lunch hours is the cookout, so stop out by the courtyard for food, games, and entertainment. At 2:00 this afternoon is the PEP assembly in the field house with the parade to follow, and the football game later tonight as the Hornets take on the Red Raiders. Hope to see you out and about, while showing your school spirit!
