ASVAB
The ASVAB Career Exploration Program will be given on Thursday, October 19th in the Preble LMC from 7:30 - 10:30 am.  The assessment is free and a follow up session will take place to review your results.  

The ASVAB program presents a full spectrum of career opportunities to students, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, or ability level. 

Please sign up in the Career Center if your interested or see Mr. Pannier if you have questions. Openings still exist.


DECA
Are you a interested in joining DECA?  We have a “freshmen only” meeting on Tuesday, at 6:00 PM in the commons.  Sign up in the school Store!  

Are you interested in joining a fun club that is challenging and beneficial to your future success?  Than check out the Preble DECA club.  Stop by the school store and pick up  information on our upcoming activities


Girls Basketball
Any girl interested in trying out for basketball this year, there will be a meeting after school on Wednesday, October 18th in Room 105. 


Golden Apple Awards
Partners in Education, a program of the Greater Green Bay Chamber is kicking off the 25th annual Golden Apple Awards.  Each year, the Golden Apple Awards celebrates educational excellence.  Students are encouraged to nominate their teacher or teams of teachers for the award before before Friday, October 27th.  Nomination forms are available in the main office and online at greatergbc.org/goldenapples.


HOSA
There will be an important HOSA meeting Tuesday, October 17th after school in the library for those interested in going to the fall conference on Tuesday, November 7th.  Only the members interested in going to the meeting need to attend.  If you would like to go, but can’t make the meeting be sure to contact Ms. Bomber or Mrs. Pokel to get the information for attending this conference.

All members are eligible to attend this conference, and we hope you are able to join us!


Language Arts Academic Team
Do you like reading classic literature?  Enjoy learning trivia about a variety of famous authors and their works?  Are you willing to read, discuss, and analyze literature from various authors?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, than the language arts academic team is for you! Come to the first informational meeting at 3:10 on Wednesday, October 18th in Room 133 and learn more about this exciting club.  See Mrs. Guerndt if you can’t make the informational meeting. 


Link Crew
Any Link Crew leaders who are interested in helping at the first annual Preble Craft Fair on Saturday, October 28th should please come sign up in Student Services. First come first serve! It will be a fun event and huge fundraiser for our school!


Math Team
Math team students, our first math meet of the year is tonight, Monday, October 16th at Ashwaubenon High School.  Check in with Mr. Schwedrsky or Mrs. Weuve by 6:10 pm.


Preble Chess Club
Preble’s Chess Club will meet for the first time this year this Wednesday, from 3:05 to 4:00 in Room B116. Anyone who wants to learn how to play chess or how to improve their chess skills is welcome to come.


Student Services
In August at registration, all students received the Expectations Handbook that contained a blue Expectations Book Receipt and Acknowledgement form that was to be signed and returned to Student Services. Students who did not yet turn in this form were sent an additional form in the mail. If you received this form, please sign and return it to the Student Services Office as soon as possible. 


Varsity Soccer Players
Practice will be at Willow Creek today at 4:15 PM.


Wisconsin Educational Fair 
The Wisconsin Educational Fair will take place this year at St. Norbert College in De Pere. All grades are welcome. Preble Pride is sponsoring a free bus ride to and from the event tomorrow,  Tuesday October 17th.  The bus will leave Preble High School at 6:00 pm and return at 9:00 pm.  Check your school email or get a permission form in Student Services. You will have the opportunity to speak to reps from universities, colleges, vocational schools and the military.   Sign up now!!
