Eligibility Requirements:
We welcome all students who are interested in jazz with no audition requirement. We perform both at school and in the community to further the interest in jazz music. We welcome all students who would like to participate with a flexible rehearsal schedule that is designed to allow students to participate in other extra curricular activities as well. Students must maintain a passing grade in all classes.   

Description:
The Jazz Ensemble I plays classic, standard, and  contemporary music for jazz ensemble.  The styles range from swing to funk to Latin music.   

Time Commitment:
Practice twice a week – approx. 3 hours of rehearsal per week.

Activity Time Period:
Beginning in late November, the group participates in a winter concert, Solo & Ensemble Festival, a spring concert,  Midwest jazz festival(s), and any other performance  opportunities that may arise in the Green Bay area.   

Membership Limit:
Instrumentation limited to Saxophones (Alto, Tenor and  Bari), Trombones, Trumpets, Piano, Drum Set, Bass (electric or acoustic) and guitar (electric, must read music notation).
